| Shooting silent film with on camera dialog.
For our audio tracks, we used the Senheiser(foreground) as an over head
boom, a wireless Sony lav-mic under Matt's collar (purple arrow), and my
Sony Mini - DV camera rigged to an old Bolex shot gun mic (red circle) which
I placed in the chair out of frame. The mic was designed for my trusty Bolex
550 Super 8 sound camera (green rectangle),
with a Glidecam stuntbar modification. We ran the wireless and boom mics
into Josh's Mackie mixer and onto my Sony portable Mini-Disc recorder. The
DV audio worked as a guide and back up in editing. |
